Yesterday in the morning I took down the DX Commander and further only use the Hexbeam. The last few hours of the opeartion was fantastic with hugh pile ups. At 17:30 local time I went QRT ( abit earlier than scheduled because of nearing clouds and possible rain). We were able to have all materials inside the hotel for further sorting and packing, just before it was dark outside and some rain started.

We are nearing the end of the DXpedition. Tomorrow, Wednesday 8 October, I have dismantle the station. Just before sunset (18 Local Time, 12 UTC) I need to have the antennas inside the building. There I can put back all materials in the suitcase. The morning of 9 October we will drive first to Thimphu and next to Paro (where the airport is). In the morning of 10 October I fly to Dubai and somewhat leter to Amsterdam.

Arrived at Paro where my guide was waiting for me. On our way to Dochula,we stopped at a hardware shop to buy an adapter tofit my Hexbeam on a 2″ pole. After arrival we started to assemble the DX Commander and placed it on the terras. Because they are renovating the hotel, I’m the only guest. So no disturbance from guests but there is also less space to separate my antennas. Now both the Hexbeam and DX Commander need to be on the same terras.

After two days of hardly any sleep and putting up the DXCommander, I needed sleep.
